Our valued client is growing and therefore seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join their in-house legal team and support the business across a wide range of legal matters.
The Role: Reporting to the Head of Legal, this is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in advising stakeholders, managing risk, and ensuring legal compliance across the business. You'll work closely with teams across the organization, offering pragmatic legal advice that supports our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts and agreements
- Provide legal advice on corporate, regulatory, and compliance matters
- Support on data protection, employment, IP, and litigation issues as required
- Help develop internal policies and templates
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes and provide guidance to internal stakeholders
- Assist in managing external counsel when needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified solicitor (UK or equivalent)
- Solid grounding in commercial law with experience working In House
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance legal risk and commercial priorities
- A proactive, collaborative approach with the confidence to work independently
