Datacenter Technician (, , United Kingdom)

Peaple Talent has partnered with a growing organisation in Farnborough to recruit for a Datacentre Engineer.

Within this role, you will be responsible for providing technical IT support to a diverse customer based ensuring that service levels are maintained to a high standard.

This role is 5 days onsite in Farnborough. You must meet SC and BPSS security clearance to be accepted for this position.

The Role:

• Install network, server and storage hardware, including cabling and patching
• Lead important auditing work to support client hardware
• Install copper and fibre cabling/patching tasks
• Remotely support data centres by replacing hardware, cabling testing, power cycling equipment and network cards

The Candidate:

• Excellent knowledge of server, network and storage support and installation
• Background working in a datacentre with copper/fibre cabling experience
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Must be able to be onsite 5 days a week in Farnborough and meet SC and BPSS security clearance
• Comfortable working within a 24/7 x 365 on-call rota

• Basic salary: up to £28,000 plus £5k on-call allowance
