Contracts Manager – London
£70M Hotel Refurbishment | 193 Rooms | Demo, Refurb & Substructure Works
We’re representing a leading main contractor known for delivering complex and high-quality projects across the UK and Ireland. They’re now seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the delivery of a major £70M hotel redevelopment in Central London.
This flagship project involves full internal strip-out and demolition, significant substructure works, and high-end refurbishment across 193 rooms and public areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee full project lifecycle from pre-start through to handover
- Lead site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners to ensure project milestones are achieved
- Drive quality, programme and cost performance in line with client expectations
- Manage health & safety across all phases of demolition, substructure, and refurbishment
- Interface with design, commercial and planning teams to ensure coordinated delivery
- Monitor and report on project progress to senior leadership and client teams
- Maintain excellent client relationships and uphold Gilbert-Ash’s reputation for excellence

Key Requirements:
- Proven experience delivering high-value (£30M+) refurbishment or hotel projects in live city centre environments
- Strong background in managing demolition, structural, and complex refurbishment phases
- Excellent leadership, programme management, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working with Tier 1 or leading main contractors
- Full understanding of construction H&S legislation and procedures
- Relevant qualifications in construction management or engineering
