About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transformational Manager to be responsible for driving and implementing strategic improvements across the organisation. Your role will focus on enhancing efficiency, streamlining processes, and fostering innovation to optimise the entire value chain from product design to delivery. This is a pivotal role in transforming the business to be more agile, customer-focused, and sustainable. You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop, execute, and monitor transformation initiatives, ensuring that the company’s operational goals are met while also fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Leadership and Change Management: Working with the general managers to lead and drive transformational initiatives within the operations and engineering teams. Develop and execute a comprehensive change management strategy to guide the organisation through sustainable operational growth. Act as the change champion, ensuring alignment with company goals and employee buy-in at all levels. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Process Optimisation and Efficiency Improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline and optimise engineering processes, enhancing productivity and reducing waste. Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies across operations. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of best practices. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track improvements and measure operational success.
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Oversee the execution of major operational initiatives, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Develop actionable insights based on data analysis to refine operational strategies and improve efficiency.
- Operational Excellence: Implement robust processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering services, products, and projects. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols across all operations. Introduce innovative solutions to enhance the overall performance of each function.
- Team Development and Collaboration: Lead, motivate, and mentor teams to foster a high-performance culture focused on achieving operational excellence. Identify skills gaps and develop training programs to build team capabilities. Promote collaboration between departments (engineering, sales, operations, quality, etc.) to drive operational synergies and deliver results.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, and senior management, to support operational transformation efforts. Communicate progress, risks, and successes effectively to all relevant stakeholders. Collaborate closely with all areas of the business to ensure transformation projects are fully integrated.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Identify potential risks related to operational changes and develop strategies to mitigate those risks. Ensure adherence to all relevant safety, environmental, and industry regulations throughout the transformation process.
Qualifications
A degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred. Professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or similar qualifications are desirable.
Required Skills
- Significant experience in a senior operational management role within a variety of manufacturing or engineering environments.
- Proven track record in leading and managing operational transformation projects and change management initiatives.
- Strong experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.

Salary Package: Circa £100,000
