We are seeking a talented and motivated Fire Damper Testing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the testing and remedials of fire dampers in various types of properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct testing of fire dampers to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
- Fault find if dampers are non-compliant.
- Carry out remedials including but not limited to Access Doors, Fusible Links, Replacements Dampers, Local ductwork modifications.
- Provide documentary evidence of completed testing and remedials in a timely manner.
- Keep a clean working environment.
- Comply with Health and Safety.
- Work closely with project managers and clients to meet project deadlines.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and fire safety regulations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in fire damper testing – ideally a minimum of 12 months.
- Knowledge of fire damper systems, testing procedures, and relevant regulations (i.e. BS 9999).
- Good problem-solving ability. Able to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.
- Relevant certifications in fire damper testing or fire safety (preferred but not essential).
- Full UK driving license (required for site visits).
