We are pleased to have been engaged to recruit a Head of Health and Safety for a leading specialist utilities contractor who has a turnover in excess of £500 million. The role is focused on helping to ensure the safe and successful delivery of one of their largest contracts. This role will involve regular travel primarily across the South Coast and is critical to the company's continued success.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing health and safety policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation.
- Engaging with site managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical health and safety related enquiries.
- Keeping updated with key changes to legislation across Safety, Health, Environment and Quality and ensuring the organisation remains compliant.
- Providing leadership, guidance, and management in all Health & Safety (H&S) matters.
- Analysing Health & Safety trends, identifying risks, and developing strategies for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven Health and Safety experience within utilities/construction or related industries.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
- A strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance and regulations.
- Strong communication skills - The ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
