About the role

Akkodis have an opportunity for an experienced Electronics Engineer where you'll play a key role in designing and developing cutting-edge digital/analogue (mixed signal) circuits and power electronics.

What you will be doing

  • Responsible for the design and development of digital / analogue (mixed signal) circuits and power electronics.
  • Work in collaboration with the Hardware Architects, Systems Engineers and business development teams to develop innovative, cost effective and compliant solutions to the customer needs.
  • Share knowledge and experience with other members of the team through team working, knowledge transfer partnerships and mentoring.
  • Contribute to the development of the Analogue Design, Simulation and Testing core capability.

About You

You will possess extensive experience in electronic design, particularly within a secure environment. This experience should encompass the design and development of Electronic components.

You will have the following experience:

  • Previous electrical/electronic design experience within a defence/aerospace/maritime environment.
  • Knowledge of PCB layout techniques pertaining to the above.
  • Experience within the design of cabling and harness assemblies.
  • Excellent knowledge of the application of EMC and LVD (both design techniques and appreciation of electronic module packaging/screening filtering etc) and environmental standards in COTS and bespoke design products.
  • Ability to use design and simulation tools such as AutoCAD, Simetrix, LTSpice, Cadence schematic Capture or similar.
