Platinum & Partners has been asked by our client who is a leading financial services firm to identify a high-calibre Event Driven Analyst to join their London-based team. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a top-tier equity markets division that services a global institutional client base, including hedge funds and asset managers.
- Monitor and evaluate US-focused event-driven situations with hard and soft catalysts, with emphasis on merger arbitrage.
- Track and interpret breaking news, press releases and deal announcements in real-time.
- Produce concise updates and analysis for internal teams and institutional clients.
- Attend corporate events and conferences as needed.
- Undertake fundamental equity valuation and financial modelling.
- Collaborate with internal Long/Short and Index Event teams to share intelligence and trading ideas.
- Participate in ad hoc project work and research assignments as required.
Minimum of two years' post-training experience in investment banking or similar analytical role. Exposure to event-driven, M&A, or private equity situations is highly desirable. Strong Excel skills; background in financial modelling and valuation analysis.
