Electrical Design Engineer – Bespoke Machinery Manufacturer
Location: South Manchester
Salary: Up to £60k (Depending on experience)
We are excited to be partnering with a highly reputable and market-leading manufacturing company in South Manchester that is looking to expand their design team. Specialising in the creation of bespoke, special-purpose machinery, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing and innovative mechanical design department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with mechanical design and controls engineers to design bespoke automation machinery
- Ensure compliance with UK and international standards
- Create technical documentation including functional design specifications, bill of materials, and electrical drawings
- Contribute to continuous improvements within the department and company
- Occasionally travel within the UK and abroad
Experience Required:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in electrical design for industries like food, automotive, aerospace, or pharmaceuticals
- Proficiency with electrical design software, preferably EPLAN
- Knowledge of Sistema and electrical design for drive systems, electrical loadings, and current ratings
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Understanding and experience in UKCA/CE Technical file creation and risk assessments
- Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and vacuum systems
- Ability to interact effectively with a range of stakeholders, including customers and suppliers
- Must have full right to work in the UK
Package:
- Salary up to £60k, depending on experience
