CNC Workshop Supervisors opportunity overseeing and assisting a small team in this established Aerospace precision engineering company. This hands-on Programmer (online)/setter/operator role will also oversee the operations within the workshop, helping and planning, ensuring efficiency and a high standard of production.
- Supervise and lead a team of skilled CNC machinists, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee and manage all CNC milling and CNC turning operations, ensuring jobs are completed to specification, on time, and within budget.
- Implement and maintain a high level of quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
- Develop staff by providing training and mentorship, encouraging skill development and career progression.
- Coordinate with the production team to schedule work, manage workloads, and address any operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the workshop.
- Proven experience in CNC machining (ideally Milling and turning).
- The shop contains Hurco, Mazak and DMU Mills, CNC and manual lathes.
- Strong leadership and man management experience or potential.
- Solid understanding of production plans and the ability to implement efficient strategies.
