A well-established, global, $20bn+ AUM multi-strategy hedge fund is looking for a software engineer/developer to join their Quantitative Platform team in London. The fund boasts a world-leading tech and infrastructure and invests heavily in new systems and AI.
As a software developer, you will play a pivotal role in developing the core platforms that underpin and provide data, tools, APIs, libraries, and user interfaces to the research and trading desks. You will be interacting closely with the research and tech teams, contributing actively to code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions. You will also be responsible for writing and maintaining code across services, data storage and UI layers.
We will consider applications from candidates with 5+ years of professional software development experience, including C#, C++ or Python. You should be driven to keep abreast of latest technologies and strive to implement them at the fund, demonstrating a strong “go-getter” and innovative mindset. Problem-solving and teamworking skills are essential. Experience working with cloud-based systems (eg. AWS) is desired but not required. Candidates who can demonstrate familiarity with processing large datasets (eg using Sparks or Parquet or Arrow) or knowledge of building front-end web applications (eg using Angular) are strongly encouraged to apply.
In addition to a competitive compensation (up to £150,000k base) with bonuses paid quarterly, the fund’s offices include great perks, such as an on-site gym, physiotherapist, free breakfast & lunch, and a private barista.
