Are you an experienced Transport Manager looking to use your skills to step into an exciting position in a fast-paced environment? How would you like to be part of the leadership team in the biggest global vehicle remarketing Company? We are currently looking for a Transport Manager to join our established management team, working from our Bristol Operation Centre, at BS10 7SF. Our Operation Centres are open Monday to Friday 8am β 5pm, with no weekend or bank holiday working.
The Transport Manager is responsible for leading and coaching our Transport teammates, to ensure that Company and customer expectations are met. They are responsible for the compliance and efficient management of the transport function within the Operation Centre. The successful candidate must have a CPC (National or International) as they will be expected to be named on the Operatorβs Licence, becoming the principal Operators Licence holder.
Main duties and responsibilities:- People Leadership β Recruiting, inducting, coaching and developing the transport team to succeed and grow.
- Drive Operational Service β Ensure the day-to-day transport function operates in line with service level agreements with the support of the General Manager.
- Drive Continuous Improvement β challenge the norm, fostering a culture of looking forward way to improve the operation.
- Cross functional working β Actively building relationships across the Operation Centre and wider business, in a way which ensures support is available and performance isnβt hindered or negatively impacted.
- Legalities and compliance β Ensure that all fleet vehicles and teammates are compliant with all legal, regulatory and contractual compliance including Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive, with the support of the Regional Transport Manager.
- CPC (National or International) and full UK Driving Licence
- Demonstrable people management and leadership experience
