INTERIM FINANCE DIRECTOR

  • Essential: Financial Services + Director/FC/FD + Reporting leadership
  • £150,000 – £200,000 + package
  • 6 months
  • City of London – hybrid WFH 2-3 days p/wk

Pear Talent is representing a global Financial Services business who have a new opportunity for an Interim Director of Finance. Reporting to the global CEO you’ll lead a team delivering all key financial, regulatory and operational reporting ensuring robust controls, as well as being a key contributor to a Finance change programme. You'll regularly partner with Exec/Board stakeholders and both attend as well as presenting at Board/Committees etc.

Key accountabilities:

  • Lead, mentor and oversee Finance team located in London
  • Report on financial performance to the Group, divisional and local stakeholders
  • Undertake financial reviews of the actual and forecast performance including efficiency and effectiveness metrics, cash management, working capital and other financial transactions
  • Manage all aspects of the financial year-end process, reviewing statutory accounts and ensure the timely filing of all local statutory accounts and tax returns
  • Manage all regulatory financial returns and reporting
  • Direct financial planning and manage the financial aspects of the annual budget process
  • Maintain accounting policies and procedures
  • Assess, manage and minimise financial risk as well as oversee and manage internal financial controls
  • Maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, including banking institutions, accountants and property agents
  • Manage foreign currency exchange transactions

Required experience:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) with significant post-qualified experience gained in a similar capacity with a medium sized Financial Services business
  • Significant broad financial reporting and finance operations experience
  • Experience of international parent companies and subsidiary boards an advantage
  • Extensive experience of providing direction, leadership and management of staff
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience of Sage 300 an advantage
