We are hiring! Aon Affinity Consulting welcomes your application for our Client Director vacancy. The successful candidate that joins our team will have an established portfolio of large Corporate clients to manage, with exciting opportunities to nurture and grow those relationships, whilst having the opportunity to support our wider team in successfully securing new clients. We are seeking applicants with client director experience, with a proven track record in consultancy assignments and having managed a portfolio of large global clients in previous roles. At Aon, the Client Director is responsible for the strategic relationship with our client, delivering Aon’s depth of capabilities to meet our clients’ needs and evolving risks. You will be responsible for driving, co-ordinating and managing the provision of service to clients, drawing upon designated service teams and specialist resources and be seen as the “Go To” person by the client.
Although this is a home based role, the nature of the work will require travel to client sites and Aon office locations. What the day will look like:
- The role is within our Affinity Consulting team and provides risk solutions, consultancy to large businesses globally. Typically, clients will be either a national or a multinational company.
- The Client will be looking for a relationship with us, who can provide a tailored approach.
- Our clients typically require bespoke insurance programmes to meet their needs.
- Manage the service provided to clients. Ensure the highest level of service to each assigned client in line with the agreed client service tools.
- Identify and introduce Aon’s products and services to meet the client’s needs and understand and communicate each Client’s business issues and needs to the service team and other parts of Aon.
- Build client relationships with key decision-makers.
- Grow the revenue and profitability of your client portfolio, including meeting annual revenue target for this portfolio.
- Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:
- ACII or equivalent.
- Proven experience in the insurance industry, with experience in client relationship management and the core lines of commercial risks is essential.
- Proven experience in consultancy engagements.
- Experience managing large, corporate clients is desirable.
- Commercial understanding of business i.e. market forces, business drivers, market dynamics, competitors and risks, etc.
- Prior experience with sales, fee setting, negotiation and influencing.
- An effective communicator and presenter.
- Client focused with a consultative approach and commitment to excellence in the provision of client service.
