Your Housing Group (YHG) is seeking a visionary and highly strategic CFO to join our Executive Leadership Team (ELT). This is more than a numbers role — we’re looking for a transformational leader who will take full accountability for our Finance, Treasury, and ICT divisions, championing innovation, performance, and impact across the Group.
The Role
As CFO, you will play a pivotal role in driving YHG’s long-term financial health, ensuring robust strategies are in place to support our ambitious growth and operational plans. You’ll work collectively with our ELT to shape the future of the Group, contributing to all strategic decisions with insight, challenge, and integrity.
This is an opportunity to:
- Provide strategic leadership across Finance, Treasury and ICT, aligning operational delivery with corporate goals.
- Lead the development and execution of financial and ICT investment strategies.
- Represent YHG externally with stakeholders, funders, regulatory bodies, and partners.
- Ensure financial strength through rigorous planning, budget management, risk mitigation, and statutory compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation across your divisions.
- Build and lead a high-performing, best-in-class finance and ICT team.
- Be a values-driven ambassador, role modelling the culture and behaviours that define YHG.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a CFO who brings:
- Proven senior-level finance leadership within the social housing sector.
- First-hand experience engaging with regulatory bodies and a clear understanding of sector compliance.
- A credible track record of leading transformational financial strategies, improving performance, and driving value.
- Expertise in capital raising — from joint ventures to bond issues and private equity.
- Demonstrable experience in advising Boards and Executives within complex, regulated environments.
- A collaborative, inclusive leadership style with a strong focus on building teams and relationships.
- Strategic mindset with the resilience to take bold decisions that shape long-term success.
Essential Qualifications:
- Honours degree (2:1 or above).
- Professional post-degree qualification (e.g. ACA, MBA, Masters).
