As a Product Compliance Specialist the key focus is to ensure Peli BioThermal packaging products meet all applicable European and international regulatory and environmental standards. This role will ensure compliance with global industry requirements, particularly for temperature-controlled packaging used in pharmaceutical, biotech, food, and healthcare sectors.
What you'll do:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure packaging materials comply with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., REACH, CLP, California Proposition 65, TSCA, EU 2019/1021 Organic Pollutants, PFAS, MCCP, GHS).
- Create a database or tool that enables Supply Chain and Sustainability teams to track material and supplier compliance.
- Prepare certificates of compliance and declarations of conformity when needed.
- Conduct regulatory and environmental risk assessments for materials.
- Evaluate supplier compliance documentation, including materials traceability, chemical content (e.g., SVHC, PFAS), and sustainability certifications.
- Assist in developing SOPs and best practices for product regulatory compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
- Follow company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follow safety guidelines and procedures in accordance with the job.
What we're looking for:
- Education: Degree in Chemistry, Packaging Science or Regulatory Affairs.
- Solid understanding of chemical and packaging regulations.
- Hands-on experience in developing tools, dashboards and databases to allow other departments confirm compliance for specific material/supplier.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
This is a short term contract (3-6 months) and can be based 100% remote.
