An ambitious, fast-growing food business is looking for a commercially minded and people-focused HR Director to lead its people strategy, modernise HR delivery, and shape a high-performing culture across multiple business units.

About the Role

As HR Director, you’ll partner with the CEO and senior leaders to design and implement a group-wide HR strategy aligned to business performance and long-term growth. You’ll build & lead a capable HR team, embed consistent and effective people practices, and help build a workplace that is not only efficient, but genuinely a great place to work. This is a strategic and operational leadership role for an individual who excels in a multi-site, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of a progressive people strategy
  • Drive cultural alignment and consistency across all group businesses
  • Enhance the employee value proposition to attract and retain top talent
  • Implement/Oversee modern HR systems, processes, and policy frameworks
  • Lead talent development, succession planning, and performance management
  • Act as a key advisor on organisational design, change, and complex ER matters (including TUPE and restructure scenarios)
  • Create engaging internal communication and wellbeing strategies

What You’ll Bring

  • Significant experience in a senior HR leadership role within food, FMCG, logistics, or manufacturing ideally
  • A proven track record in building and leading high-performing HR teams
  • Strong grasp of employment law and experience with TUPE, ER, and change management
  • Ability to operate at board level while remaining hands-on and practical
  • A passion for culture, leadership, and building great employee experiences
  • CIPD Chartered/Fellow status or equivalent experience
