Senior Consultant (Networks)

Locations – North England & Scotland

Salary – £45-55K DOE

One of our key clients are on the search for a Senior Consultant (Power Systems) possessing both business awareness of the GB Power System and technical expertise. An experienced Power Systems Engineer with an emphasis on project management and technical leadership would be a good fit for this position. You will have a significant influence on the strategic direction of our consulting services in your capacity as a Senior Consultant.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out technical tasks that enable projects to be successfully completed
  • Supervise and direct intricate consulting assignments from start to finish
  • Work in tandem with multidisciplinary groups to guarantee on-time and cost-effective delivery
  • Keep up with changes and trends in the sector
  • Represent the business at networking gatherings, conferences, and seminars
  • Guide, coach, and develop team members and Junior Consultants
  • Encourage a cooperative and productive team atmosphere

Essential requirements:

  • Electrical Engineering degree or master's degree, or equivalent qualification.
  • Four years or more of experience in a related field.
  • Project report writing experience.
  • Proven ability to model and analyse networks using any commercial software programme, including PSCAD, DIgSILENT Powerfactory, IPSA, and others.
  • Familiarity with the transmission and distribution networks of Great Britain.

Desirable requirements:

  • Programming in Python
  • HV electrical design
  • Proposal writing experience for both domestic and international clients
  • Previous work experience in the Energy regulatory field
  • HV Asset Management experience
