Our Transport/Service Coordinator will be responsible for the safe dispatch of all vehicles daily to meet or exceed customer service expectations. Whilst managing our team of Night Drivers, the successful candidate will ensure the continued delivery of a timely and accurate service to all customers, involving the effective use of resources and manpower available.

Location: Larkfield

Working Night Shift: Mon – Fri (45 hrs) 22:00 – 07:00

Responsibilities:

  • Weekly and daily KPI reports.
  • Manage drivers daily, resolve any issues they may have.
  • Work with customer service dealing with salesforce enquiries.
  • Manage driver performance through effective 121’s, performance reviews and development planning.
  • Planning driver schedules & generating paperwork.
  • Recruitment related duties for replacement drivers.
  • Manage driver holidays/absence and arrange route cover.
  • Organise and manage vehicle servicing / maintenance and breakdowns.
  • Downloading of vehicle Tacho units and cameras.
  • Arrange permit to works for onsite contractors.
  • Complete accident and incident forms and submit Incident response presentations within set time limits.
  • Ensure regular driver assessments and work observations are completed.

We are keen to speak with candidates with experience in people management within a similar Supervisor /Transport / Service environment.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Ability to manage time and complete multi tasks in line with timescales.
  • Reasonable knowledge of information technology especially Microsoft Excel and e-mail.
  • Self-motivated, reliable and enthusiastic.
  • A team player and motivator, able to work effectively under pressure and who is looking for a challenge.
  • CPC Qualified would be an advantage.
  • LGV & ADR Licences would be an advantage.
