We are looking for a Field Service Engineer with experience in the diagnostics or instrumentation industry to join the field engineering team on a 1 year fixed term contract servicing clients in the Southern half of the UK. This well-established company has a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support, training and advice on instrumentation to customers.
  • Deliver and install instruments at client sites, handling system integration and providing client training.
  • Participate in the design, development, and delivery of training programs.
  • Respond to technical support inquiries, addressing concerns and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assist the sales team with demonstrations and related activities.
  • Participate in alpha and beta testing of new software and hardware.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a client-facing technical engineering role.
  • Experience working remotely.
  • Experience working autonomously.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail is essential.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple locations as required.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Proficiency in various IT applications, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Openness to undertake training to enhance skills.
  • Any experience in clinical laboratory practices would be a benefit.
  • Any experience with software testing would be advantageous.
