We are seeking a strategic and results-driven SEO Manager to join our team in London. This role offers the opportunity to shape and execute our SEO strategy, ensuring our platforms achieve strong organic visibility and engagement while supporting major technology projects. The SEO Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing SEO strategies that drive organic growth, improve search rankings, and enhance user engagement. Working closely with editorial, technical, and cross-functional teams, you will combine technical SEO expertise with content optimisation to deliver impactful results.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to drive organic traffic and enhance user engagement.
  • Conduct keyword research, audience analysis, and competitor benchmarking to inform content strategies.
  • Partner with editorial teams to create and optimise SEO-friendly content aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with tech teams to identify and resolve technical SEO issues (e.g., crawl errors, site speed, mobile optimisation).
  • Provide SEO expertise and requirements for large-scale technology projects, ensuring best practices are applied during site updates or migrations.
  • Monitor and report on SEO performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
  • Stay up-to-date on SEO trends, algorithm changes, and innovations to continually refine strategies.
  • Manage on-page and off-page SEO, including internal linking and backlink acquisition.
  • Support website taxonomy and navigation projects to improve user experience and search performance.
  • Serve as the SEO subject-matter expert across the organisation, influencing and educating stakeholders.

Skills and experience

  • Demonstrated progressive SEO experience with a proven track record of driving significant organic growth.
  • Strong expertise in both technical SEO and content strategy, with experience bridging creative and technical teams.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs).
  • Experience managing SEO requirements for large-scale website projects, migrations, and updates.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and web development principles as they relate to SEO.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to turn data insights into actionable strategies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level websites, structured data, and taxonomy is a plus.
