An experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant is required to join a Law Firm to support the firm's Commercial Property department, to be based in the Malton area, North Yorkshire.
Duties:
- Preparation of documents including audio and copy typing
- Filing and organising documents
- Making appointments and scheduling meetings, diary management
- Liaising with clients
- Opening and updating files on the case management system (proclaim)
- Working in line with money laundering regulations
- Preparing invoices, assist with billing and completion statements
- Companies house searches
- Use of the Land Registry portal
- Preparing and submitting SDLT forms
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant ideally within Property but other areas of law will be considered
- Able to prioritise and manage a varied and busy workload
- Experience in providing first class Secretarial support
- Ability to type and draft documents
- Good working knowledge of land and property legal forms and searches
- Extremely organised and can stay on top of deadlines
- Work well and add a positive impact within a thriving team
- Ability to communicate professionally with other departments and stakeholders internal and external
Salary is negotiable depending on experience. The role will be full time working 9am - 5pm. The firm operates a hybrid working model which will include working from home 1-2 days per week.
