We are looking for Estimators who know that value isn’t always about choosing the cheapest option – it’s about being smart, strategic and creative in order to bring drawings to life and convert specs and client conversations into something tangible (and critically, profitable!).
About you:
- You are currently working as an Estimator / Senior Estimator.
- You want a place where you are involved in projects from the outset, not dropped in to fight fires.
- You want to be trusted to lead projects and work on real pre-construction strategy – not just plug numbers into a spreadsheet and hope for the best.
Where you will be working:
This is a seriously impressive, fast-growing contractor with a strong presence across the UK. Working out of their Hertfordshire office alongside experienced pre-con and bid professionals, you will be working on tenders across logistics, industrial, advanced manufacturing and life-sciences among other things.
The Estimating team is tight and works collaboratively. Everyone has their say and the SLT are always on hand to assist, not hidden behind 15 layers of middle management.
Bids are likely to be anywhere from £10m to £70m+ often in negotiated or two-stage environments. This is not a race-to-the-bottom type of business – work is chosen carefully to ensure great delivery, profit and happy clients.
You’ll like it here if:
- You’ve got a solid background in estimating (main contractor, £10m+ schemes).
- You enjoy technical bids and modern sectors (life sciences, R&D, data centres).
- You’re collaborative, detail-oriented and like to feel part of the big picture.
Sounds like a bit of you? Give me a shout and find out more. Apply now.
