The Wellington Hospital, St Johns Wood is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Acute Assessment Unit. This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week with shift times from Monday to Sunday based on internal rotation. Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends is required. The role offers a permanent contract with a competitive salary depending on experience, plus a 9% shift allowance.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Staff Nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate high standards of nursing care. Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Managing the referral service for patients requiring urgent medical or surgical consultant review.
  • Working collaboratively within a team and deputising for Senior Staff Nurses in their absence.
  • Participating in consultant ward rounds and communicating effectively within the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Initiating improvements in clinical issues and delivery of care.
  • Documenting all aspects of patient care and reporting incidents and complaints.
