Waking Nights Support Workers are there for our customers through the night, and as such receive an enhanced salary starting from £12.97 per hour.

What is a waking night? Some of the people we support need extra assistance through the night. A waking night Support Worker is there to provide help as needed, which could include taking medication, providing reassurance, or carrying out household tasks (e.g. cleaning, dusting, laundry etc.). You will need to be awake the whole night, checking regularly on the person you are supporting to make sure they have a comfortable night's sleep and are safe.

This hugely rewarding role is crucial to the wellbeing of people who need care and support; when people have a safe and comfortable night, they can make the most of their days. You will make that possible for people in your community.

As an Avalon Support Worker you will have a role that offers:

As a Support worker you will help people with disabilities or additional needs to live the life they choose, supporting with daily living skills, attending appointments, finding work and much more.

You don’t need previous experience or qualifications, just to care about people and to want to make a difference. You will build meaningful and lasting relationships with the people you support. You won’t have to do short visits, as our sessions are always a minimum of 1 hour, with many being longer than this to make sure both you and our customers are fulfilled every day.
