We have an exciting role on offer within our Stronger Communities as a Waste Operative 1 (Alley Cleansing).

About Us: Middlesbrough Council Recycling and Waste Services are looking for a Waste Operative to assist in keeping Middlesbrough clean. If you are looking for a career working outdoors and walking long distances and are able to carry out manual handling tasks.

You will have a responsibility for:

  • Collecting Recycling and Refuse waste from domestic and Council premises.
  • Removal of large items and cleansing of back alleys.
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety Legislation is adhered to at all times.

The successful applicants will be required to work overtime as and when required including evenings, weekends and Bank Holiday Catch ups. Please note the current working days are from Tuesday – Friday from 06:45 am – 16:30 pm.
