KFS Recruitment is very pleased to be working with a short-term property finance lender, as they embark on their search for a new Bridging Underwriter to join the expanding team.
Our client offers a wide range of products, including commercial and residential bridging, development finance and auction finance. We are keen to find an experienced Senior Underwriter in the Bridging and Development finance industry to assist the company and shape their growth.
Responsibilities:
Underwrite approved bridging loan applications including heavy refurbishment, commercial and complex loans within company lending criteria and within personal lending mandate.
Ensure that the conditions of the Mortgage Illustration or Decision in Principle are adhered to, in full, throughout the processing of the application.
Accurately assess the risk attributed to the application ensuring that the loan is both suitable and fit for purpose.
Identify any potentially fraudulent activity and escalate any concerns to compliance or financial crime.
Communicate effectively with relevant parties on the loan, building successful working relationships with brokers, solicitors and valuers.
Understand and assess credit reports, documentation relating to verification of employment/self-employment, KYC and valuation reports.
Have the confidence to approve/decline applications in line with policy and to effectively communicate your decision to interested parties.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers alike.
