A forklift truck operator plays a crucial role in modern warehousing, manufacturing, and distribution processes. This position involves operating forklifts to move goods and materials throughout the facility safely and efficiently. What will you do?
- Safely & efficiently operate forklift trucks to move, stack, load, and unload materials and products within the warehouse and production facility, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
- Scanning of finished goods into and out of the warehouse.
- Arrange products and materials in designated areas, following the warehouse layout and organisational guidelines.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, such as packing, labeling and cleaning.
- Process recycled EPS.
- Generation of picking lists and delivery documentation.
- Confirmation of sales order completion for invoicing.
- Availability of stock take / perpetual inventory counts.
Your profile:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Hold a valid forklift operator certification is required, demonstrating the ability to operate forklifts safely.
- Previous experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution setting is preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy factory.
- Reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the business.
- Relevant stores or materials experience including the use of fork lift trucks.
- Possess a working knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
