A Bit About The Role
As a Stock Operative, you will ensure that stock is accurately managed in the loading bay and store, enabling the sales team to deliver excellent customer service. You will handle the intake and distribution of deliveries, keep paperwork up-to-date, and proactively resolve any issues. Collaborating effectively with colleagues, you will ensure deliveries are received, unloaded, and processed efficiently. This role can be busy, requiring problem-solving skills, high standards of housekeeping, and adherence to safety and security practices at all times.
As a Stock Operative, you will:
- Support the organisation and prioritisation of deliveries to ensure timely receipt and proper distribution to store departments
- Work with B&M on RTW/RTVs, assisting the sales team in stock collection and dispatch preparation, ensuring all items are processed and accounted for
- Keep all records updated to track stock movements accurately
- Maintain a clean and safe loading dock, keeping back-of-house areas and fire exits clear
- Manage stock movement between different locations
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders about incoming deliveries and any issues such as delays or missed deliveries
- Distribute deliveries to designated areas efficiently
