Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a motivated NQ – 4 PQE Competition Associate to join their expanding team. This role offers the chance to work on UK and EU competition investigations across sectors such as consumer goods, technology and telecommunications. The firm is known for its expertise in competition law, providing strategic support to clients on compliance, investigations and litigation.
Position Overview
As a Competition Associate, you will play a crucial role in advising clients on UK and EU competition law matters, ranging from merger control to competition investigations and litigation. You will work closely with the head of team and guide clients through complex competition investigations while ensuring compliance in their commercial activities. Additionally, you will provide strategic support for specific projects and transactions and assist with NSI and FSR filings.
Responsibilities
- Advise on ongoing merger projects and provide day-to-day competition guidance to a wide range of clients
- Support the team in competition authority investigations and competition litigation matters
- Deliver legal and commercial solutions and establish collaborative working relationships with colleagues and clients
- Manage the client experience, develop trusted relationships and interact confidently to achieve the best outcomes
Requirements
- NQ-4 years of PQE or equivalent relevant expertise in competition law
- Strong grounding in competition law, ideally including both non-contentious and contentious experience
