Chief Research Engineer/Scientist
London – 4/5 days on site

This is a genuinely fascinating role where you’ll have the opportunity to lead cutting-edge research and advance what is considered SOTA in the field of AI safety.
As the salary suggests, the bar is extremely high for this role. In truth, we can only consider applicants who have worked at one of the top AI research labs.
Essentials:
- Experience working at a top AI research lab (OpenAI, DeepMind, Meta, Anthropic, Cohere, etc).
- MSc/PhD from a Top 25 university.
- Multiple publications in top conferences e.g. ICML, CVPR, NeurIPS etc.
- Have led research teams and can evidence executing research agendas relating to language model evaluation.
- Deep knowledge of training and evaluating large language models across GPUs.
- Published papers (with 500+ citations on Google Scholar) in the language model domain.
- Most relevant areas: scalable oversight, RLHF, deep reinforcement learning, DPO / offline learning, LLM-as-a-judge / AI evaluator.
Given how specialised this role is, I am pleased to say that relocation packages are available to help facilitate moves from overseas.
