Our client is seeking a motivated and organised Accounts Assistant to support the preparation of accounts, VAT returns, tax computations, and audits. Whatβs on Offer?
- Salary: Β£28-35k p/a DOE
- Working Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday
- Location: Tenterden (3 days in office, optional remote work up to 2 days per week)

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Submit VAT returns accurately and on time
- Compile tax computations and assist with corporate tax submissions
- Support completion and filing of Self Assessment tax returns
- Assist in planning and execution of audit work
- Perform audit testing and complete fieldwork for small to medium audits
- Maintain organised and accurate records in both digital and paper formats
Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an accountancy practice
- AAT part-qualified or qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Organised and able to manage time effectively
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with IRIS is an advantage
