Job Title: Cleaning Operative

We are currently recruiting for the position of Cleaning Operative at St Johns Ambulance, Essex.

Pay rate: £12.60 per hour

Working pattern: 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6pm to 7pm.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain the cleanliness of an allocated building or area within a building to a high standard, ensuring customer satisfaction in line with contract specifications.
2. Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated collection points.
3. Sweep floors with brushes or dust control mops.
4. Mop floors with wet or damp mops.
5. Suction clean carpets and perform spot cleaning as needed.
6. Operate electrically powered scrubbing, polishing, and spray cleaning machines after receiving proper training.
7. Dust, damp wipe, wash, or polish furniture, ledges, windowsills, radiators, shelves, and fixtures.
8. Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels as required.
9. Clean toilets, urinals, sinks, and drinking fountains.
10. Use chemical agents as directed, following proper instructions and training.
11. Perform wall washing or inside window cleaning up to a height of body height plus arm’s extension.
12. Perform any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role.
13. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection guidelines.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
