We are pleased to be working with a University in South-West London to recruit a new Health and Safety Officer for the business. You will be joining a long-standing and supportive Health and Safety team to promote a positive culture and maintain compliance across the University.

As Health and Safety Officer you will:

  • Coordinate the DSE programme, including completing DSE Assessments for on-site and remote staff, and liaising with equipment suppliers.
  • Proactively advise staff, contractors, and students on Health and Safety related matters.
  • Lead the contractor safety programme across the campus to ensure contractor risks and activities are managed correctly.
  • Identify training needs and where appropriate create and deliver relevant Health and Safety training.
  • Work alongside the wider Health and Safety team to coordinate risk assessments, complete audits, and investigate incidents.

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent level 3 qualification.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff.
  • Experience carrying out DSE assessments is highly desirable.
  • Training experience is beneficial.
