Up to £55,000 + Private Health Hybrid or Remote Working Available - Depending on Location. Junior candidates with 'on the tools structured cabling experience' will also be considered.

We are working on behalf of a well-established and respected technology infrastructure business that is looking to appoint an Estimator to its pre-construction team. This role will suit someone with a strong background in structured cabling who enjoys working closely with clients to develop tailored, well-costed solutions – all while ensuring full compliance with relevant industry and installation standards. Whether you’re local and looking for a hybrid arrangement, or further afield and seeking a remote position, this client is happy to work around the right person. Client meetings are booked around your availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate, fully costed designs and quotations for structured cabling projects
  • Work directly with clients to understand their requirements and deliver clear, considered proposals
  • Ensure all work aligns with current industry regulations, client standards, and manufacturer guidelines
  • Provide comprehensive handovers to the operations team covering design, labour, and materials
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of structured cabling systems, standards, and emerging technologies
  • Occasionally attend site visits as required
  • Represent the business confidently in a client-facing capacity

Essential Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of structured cabling systems, including installation standards and best practices
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage directly with clients and internal teams
  • Good mathematical skills and a methodical approach to cost estimation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience working independently, managing your own time and workload
