Specialist Speech and Language Therapist Location: North East England Hours: Monday to Friday (Part-time applications welcomed) Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Competitive, based on experience About the Service This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and forward-thinking day service for adults with physical and learning disabilities. The Role We are seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join a dedicated therapy team working with adults who have complex speech, language, communication, and dysphagia needs. You will: * Provide assessment and intervention for individuals with a range of communication and swallowing difficulties. * Work closely with support teams and families, using approaches such as AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), Intensive Interaction, and Sensory Programmes. * Contribute to the service\’s person-centred ethos and help shape evolving therapeutic practice. * Support and empower service users to enhance their communication skills and quality of life. You’ll be working within a multi-disciplinary team focused on collaborative, evidence-based care.
