The Role: As a Service Designer, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including researchers, UX designers, developers, and software engineers, to design intuitive and user-centred public services. You will lead the design process to create seamless service experiences that meet user needs while aligning with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards. This role requires Security Clearance (SC) and strong public sector experience. Key Responsibilities: User-Centered Design: Engage with user research to understand user needs and journeys, ensuring service design solutions are grounded in user insights. Prototyping and Testing: Develop and iterate prototypes to test, validate, and communicate design concepts, enhancing the service based on feedback. Collaboration: Work in agile environments with developers, researchers, and other designers to translate concepts into effective, user-centered public services. GDS Alignment: Ensure service designs align with GDS standards, maintaining accessibility, usability, and user-friendly interactions across all services.
