Children’s Support Worker – Residential Care Home (PE14 Area) Pay Rates: £13.00 – £18.00 per hour Full-time | Part-time | Bank Shifts | Days | Nights | Sleep-ins Driving Licence & Access to a Vehicle Required Are you an experienced and compassionate support worker with a passion for making a difference in young people\’s lives? gap healthcare is recruiting Children’s Support Workers for a residential children’s home supporting three young residents, located in a rural area within the PE14 postcode. Due to the location, a driving licence and access to your own transport is essential. This home supports children with complex needs, emotional and behavioural challenges, and is looking for calm, consistent, and nurturing individuals to join a dedicated care team. Your Role Will Include: Building trusting relationships with young residents and supporting them through daily life Helping manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours Supporting children with education, life skills, and emotional wellbeing Promoting independence and positive routines Assisting with personal care and household tasks Ensuring all care plans and records are followed and kept up to date Supporting with community access and transport to appointments or activities What We’re Looking For: At least 6 months’ experience in children’s residential care or working with young people A caring, resilient, and consistent approach Comfortable working with challenging behaviour and emotional needs Full UK driving licence and own transport (required due to rural location) Overseas police check (if applicable based on travel history) Ability to work as part of a team and independently What We Offer: Competitive hourly rates: £13.00 – £18.00 depending on shift and experience Weekly pay Enhanced rates for weekends and bank holidays Free uniform and ongoing training Access to flexible shifts via our app Paid annual leave and pension contributions Opportunities for permanent positions 24/7 support from our team If you\’re a reliable support worker looking for a meaningful role we’d love to hear from you.
