Senior Planner

Position: Senior Planner Location: Buckinghamshire Salary Guide: £70,000.00 – £85,000 Plus Car/Allowance and Excellent Package Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry, who are a strategic partner to Thames Water for AMP7 and AMP8 on Capital Frameworks across the Thames Water supply and treatment regions. They provide design and build services for new and existing infrastructure assets and non-infrastructure assets. They are recruiting for a Senior Planner to support their projects throughout the Thames Valley region where you will be responsible for the planning to deliver all programme and project controls outputs for a portfolio of works, under IChemE contract conditions. This work is with Thames Water on their sewage treatment Waste Asset Assurance Programme (WAAP). Key responsibilities will include: Being the programming and planning conscience on a major water asset management project. Reviewing, and where required, producing programmes for acceptance, impact programmes, project controls dashboards, reports and programme narratives, from 1st principles. Analysing contract metrics, making improvement recommendations. Supporting the commercial team to ensure accurate forecasts, with reference to programme, are produced. Reviewing resource loading, and maintaining schedule resources in a Primavera P6 environment, to support project management decisions on sequences of work. Skills, Experience and Qualifications: NEC / IChemE contract-based Planning experience, within medium to large scale non-infrastructure project or portfolio work. Experience of civils and MEICA based projects in the water industry. Confidence and experience of managing a planning team. Good understanding of commercial and contractual matters and thorough experience and understanding of programming techniques. Competency in the use of Primavera P6
