Description The Control & Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for carrying out all related engineering tasks within the limits of the Company’s authority or as assigned by the Discipline Manager. This role involves delivering design and engineering outputs—such as calculations, risk assessments, sketches, and material take-offs (MTOs)—safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project timelines. The engineer must ensure compliance with contract requirements, achieve full client satisfaction, and meet all quality and commercial key performance indicators (KPIs). Maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues is essential. The engineer is also expected to fully understand and consistently follow all relevant Engineering Procedures, Policies, and Standards, and apply them effectively in their work. Essential Accountabilities * Managing Performances * Achievement of KPI\’s about client type, industry sector and terms of engagement * Adherence to relevant Engineering procedures Engineering Design and Documentation * Site Surveys * Instrument index (including I/O Assignment) * Instrument and Analytical Datasheets * Field Instrument Selection * Material Take-off and Material Selection * Block Cable Diagrams * Cable Routing Drawing and Equipment layout drawings * Hook-up Diagrams, Loop Diagrams and Termination Diagrams * Cable schedules Desirable * Functional Safety Documentation to IEC 61508 & * IEC 61511 * Input into P&ID Development * Hazardous Area Classification and DSEAR Study’s * HAZOP Participation * User Requirement, & Functional Design Spec Development and Review * Fire and Gas Systems Design * 3D Modelling (Evaluation using Navisworks Only) Technical Requirements * Keep up-to-date with latest industry standards, technology and norms. * Be familiar with all relevant engineering and design software. * A good understanding of the availability and use of all relevant electronic tools and software. * Awareness and understanding of all Engineering Procedures, Company Policies, processes and procedures.
