About the Role:
This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate deliver a dynamic Drama curriculum to students with a wide range of abilities and aspirations. You’ll have the chance to shape creative expression, encourage collaboration, and build students’ confidence through performance, stagecraft, and theatrical theory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that foster creativity and performance skills.
- Prepare students for practical assessments, school productions, and extracurricular events.
- Assess progress and provide effective feedback in line with curriculum standards.
- Create a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the wider arts provision across the school.
Job Requirements:
- A recognised teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- Specialism or significant experience in Drama or Performing Arts.
- Strong classroom management and the ability to motivate learners.
- Passionate about promoting the performing arts in education.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the Drama curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
