We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a local council for an experienced Plumber / Multi-Skilled Operative to join their busy Housing Repairs Team. This is a hands-on role covering plumbing repairs, maintenance and minor installations in both tenanted and void council properties. You’ll be using your skills daily to ensure properties are safe, compliant and maintained to high standards.

Duties include:

  • Plumbing and heating repairs, maintenance and small installations
  • Working across social housing (occupied and void)
  • Using tablet/PDA systems to manage and update jobs
  • Liaising with tenants and colleagues to ensure a high standard of service
  • Supporting apprentices on-site where applicable
  • Working to Building Regs and Health & Safety standards

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds in Plumbing (minimum)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience post-qualification
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Experience in social housing or occupied homes is desirable
  • Knowledge of additional trades and relevant certifications (e.g. G3, CSCS, Asbestos Awareness) is a bonus
