We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our client's growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. Based in or around Stoke-on-Trent, this role offers a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual with a solid background in electrical project delivery within the construction industry.
You will be responsible for overseeing a range of electrical projects across the UK, typically valued between £500K and £4M, spanning a mix of sectors including commercial, residential, education, office spaces, domestic, and new builds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end delivery of electrical projects, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and to required standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Oversee site progress, quality assurance, health & safety compliance, and resource allocation.
- Interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Provide leadership and direction to site teams and ensure a collaborative and productive working environment.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, addressing issues and changes as required.
- Manage project documentation including programmes, RAMS, progress reports, and final handover packs.
- Travel to sites nationwide as needed (with travel expenses covered).
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within the construction sector (minimum 3+ years).
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, site operations, and installation practices.
- Experience managing multiple projects of varying values (£500K-£4M).
- Strong knowledge of relevant health & safety regulations and compliance.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- IT literate, with experience using project management tools and Microsoft Office.
- Electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition) desirable.
Working Hours & Benefits:
- Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am to 3:00 pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break).
- Holidays: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, increasing by 1 day every 2 years of service (up to 30 days after 10 years).
- Hybrid Working: Office-based preferred, with flexibility to work from home on occasion.
- Vehicle: Car allowance as standard (company vehicle option available).
