Role: Support Worker
Location: Llanfyllin, Powys

Regular back-to-back shifts with overnight accommodation at the service available!
There are many roles and responsibilities of a support worker, including:
- Providing physical support, which may include helping with household tasks and personal care.
- Providing emotional support for individuals and their families.
- Supporting and assisting with healthcare needs, including routine checks or administering medication.
- Encouraging and supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
- Teaching life skills, such as shopping, using public transport, and paying bills.
- Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet high standards.
Support workers also help the people they support to form meaningful connections. This could involve aiding them in hobbies and interests, connecting them with community groups, enabling attendance at college, or encouraging the development of new skills like cooking or money management. Understanding how the person communicates and their preferences is an important part of the role.
