An exciting new interim opportunity has arisen within a Local Authority in the South West for an experienced Senior Programme Manager – Early Help. My client is looking for an experienced leader with expertise in working across Council wide directorates to embed a whole system approach to Prevention and utilise your skills in driving the delivery of new invest to save initiatives.
Our client’s prevention strategy is about helping avoid anyone in our communities from falling into crisis, by so doing they believe they will be providing the best public services to the council and at the same time learning to control ballooning demand led budgets.
About your duties as the Senior Programme Manager – Early Help:
- This role will require you to bring together the requirements of adults, children’s, public health and homelessness services to define the new capabilities they require to identify and intervene to avoid those most at risk of otherwise falling into crisis.
- You will be responsible for setting out the priorities, planning delivery and embedding new ways of working across teams.
- Your plan will show what capabilities you need and when to direct the delivery of enabling project teams.
- You will also develop the overall business case to justify investments and to then track and deliver benefits.
- We are looking for an exceptional candidate to break down the barriers between departments and with partner agencies to create multi-disciplinary teams using data, insight and AI in new ways to make a real difference to the lives and outcomes of the people.
Your experience needed as the Senior Programme Manager – Early Help:
- You’ll need to be able to demonstrate recent relevant experience in driving prevention outcomes for public services and understand the potential benefits that data, insight and AI can bring to this challenge.
- You need to be able to drive financial as well as service improvements from this work.
- Available references for most recent 5 years’ roles.
