Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join their team. This is a key role responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and supporting the wider finance function. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile client and office accounts
- Process client payments including cheques, bank transfers, and card payments
- Monitor daily bank activity and accurately allocate funds
- Prepare and process account reconciliations
- Handle banking duties such as deposits and withdrawals
- Process supplier invoices and support regular payment runs
- Manage petty cash and staff expense claims
- Produce financial reports including balance sheets and cash flow statements
- Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation
- Provide assistance to colleagues on finance-related queries
- Offer general financial guidance as needed
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar finance role within the legal industry
- Proficiency in legal accounting software (e.g. LEAP, Xero, or similar), and Microsoft Office applications
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
