An exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Food Technologist to join a dynamic and collaborative team within a well-established food business. This part-time position is perfect for someone with relevant experience who is looking to further develop their career in food safety, technical compliance, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support compliance and audit readiness for annual BRC accreditation
- Maintain and update the HACCP plan (HACCP qualification desirable)
- Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage food safety and technical documentation, including non-conformance follow-up, supplier approvals, and NPD records
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure technical compliance and support occasional site visits
- Manage customer requirements and participate in audits (some international travel may be required)
- Maintain internal systems and web-based platforms for reporting and documentation
- Oversee the customer complaints process
Requirements:
- A degree (or equivalent) in Food Science or a related discipline
- Solid understanding of BRC standards, food safety, quality management, and food processing
- Proactive and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and organisational skills
