Art & Design Teacher – Secondary School – North Dorset – September 2025 Permanent, Full-Time Role KS3–KS4 Art with Opportunities for KS5 Creative, Community-Focused School A welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in North Dorset is seeking a talented Art & Design Teacher to join its Visual Arts team in September 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high-quality lessons to students in KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of contributing to sixth form teaching for the right candidate. The school promotes creativity as a key pillar of student development, and the Art department is known for its student-led projects, involvement with local galleries, and interdisciplinary links across the curriculum. Responsibilities: * Deliver engaging and well-planned Art lessons across key stages * Support students in building GCSE portfolios and understanding assessment criteria * Use a range of media including sculpture, mixed media, photography, and digital platforms * Contribute to school exhibitions, competitions, and collaborative art installations * Foster an inclusive environment that celebrates creative expression Candidate Requirements: * Degree in Art, Fine Art, or related subject * PGCE and QTS (or equivalent), ECTs encouraged to apply * Strong classroom management and a passion for arts education * Experience in exhibition curation or community projects is a bonus School Information: * Well-resourced art studios and technician support * Active arts partnerships with local institutions * Warm and supportive pastoral culture Salary: MPS/UPS – ECTs fully supported
