A Design Director job available with one of the UK’s leading workplace design and build firms. This award-winning firm had a portfolio of projects that is second-to-none. This opportunity would suit a highly creative and personable Design Director with a proven background in commercial design. Salary of up to 120,000 + Commission.
With decades of experience, my client is well-established and a leader within their sector. Currently operating with a team of around 200 designers, architects, visualisers, and creatives, working from their London office. This is a rewarding role with the chance to join a leading name and drive workplace projects from concept through to realisation. Outstanding client facing abilities, communication and presentation skills are essential to be considered for this role.
Role & Responsibilities

Design leadership; Driving the creative vision across all project stages

Client liaison including BD and leading pitches and presentations

Contributing to design concepts and working with prospective clients to understand requirements

Team leadership; Inspiring, mentoring and managing different design teams across all project stages

Project and team management including overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Reviewing designs and associated materials for projects.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in workplace design, architecture or design & build
- Strong pitching and client-facing experience

Good negotiation skills and attention to detail

Proven track record of successfully delivering innovative and high-quality projects

Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to guide teams across all project stages

Ability to travel within the UK

AutoCAD or Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Suite proficient

Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
