Our client is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to oversee night operations, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective transportation services. This is a permanent night shift role, working Monday to Friday, 8:00pm to 6:00am (occasionally to 7:00am as needed). Previous transport experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage drivers, vehicles, and routes to optimise efficiency and reduce costs
- Ensure compliance with all transport regulations and safety standards
- Oversee vehicle maintenance, repairs, MOTs, and fuel usage
- Monitor driver performance, licensing, and working hours
- Maintain records, manage operator licenses, and produce reports for senior management
- Lead and develop the transport team
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a transport management role
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance
- Excellent leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills
